Virginia is for Learner\u2019s deeper learning focus is about preparing students to do things with that knowledge like think creatively, communicate effectively and become engaged citizens.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We believe that in today\u2019s global world, our students need to know more than one culture, one history, and one language.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>IAS offers a challenging curriculum for all students starting with our pre-school programs, through elementary, middle, and high school. We continue to expand programs that are geared toward active strategies that involve the students with each other and with the subject matter being studied. Students learn differently. To meet those different needs, our teachers are encouraged to offer students opportunities that support mastery of learning through portfolios, projects, presentations, and the traditional assessment format.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Students in Every Grade Will Experience A New Approach To Instruction That Focuses On Key Skills For Success In A Modern World.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Profile of a Virginia Graduate establishes a new set of expectations \u2013 known as the 5 C\u2019s: critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration and citizenship skills.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This approach will prepare every student with the content knowledge they need and the skills they need to apply it successfully after graduation.
